International relations are one of the most dynamic activities of the Russian State University of Trade and Economics (RSUTE) which enabling development of fruitful cooperation with many international educational institutions. International relations are based on a diverse range of activities which covers intense academic research, conferences and seminars, teacher and student exchange within international agreements and European educational programs.
International Office (the Department of International Relations) of RSUTE is providing a coordinator role and responsible for developing a coherent approach across the range of the international activities at the University. To support the University's goals the International Office in close collaboration with domestic and international educational institutions works to ensure that RSUTE is fully integrated into the world education community. The International Office pays special attention to furthering the principles of student mobility within the Bologna process. To enhance the University's capacity in its strategic international relationships the International Office:
- Acting as a liaison service promoting international students studies and welfare, linking them with services outside the University ranging from accommodation
and transfer to sightseeing and health;
- Alongside other university departments and units developing and following up collaborative agreements between the University and foreign institutions, research
entities, academic partners, industry and governments including student exchange and study abroad programs;
- Hosting visiting delegations from foreign institutions, prospective, exchange and visiting students.
- Promoting international students studies and welfare; taking care of international exchange students admissions and provides their visa support;
- Rendering educational advising services and with support from other university departments and units in collaboration with foreign and domestic companies
organizing studies, special training programs, collaborative projects, placements and employment abroad to the RSUTE students and graduates;
These efforts help to build and enhance the University's international relationships. Currently RSUTE has over 50 cooperation agreements with universities in the CIS and foreign countries (RSUTE Partners) and involved into implementation of more than 20 joint educational projects.
